Payment Information
MOTA accepts payment in the form of cash, check or tokens.
Tokens may be purchased at MOTA in the front office, for large token purchases please call ahead at (231) 796-4896 and press 3.
**Exact amount only when paying in office or on the bus, change cannot be made.**
Any additional amount past the fare charge will be placed on passenger's account as credit for future use.
MOTA and it's Bus Operators cannot accept electronic or credit/debit card payment(s) at this time.
Adult Fares (16-59)
The standard fare for adults is $2.00 per ride.
Senior Fare* (60-79)
Senior Fare rate is $1.00 for those 60 and over per ride.
Children Fare*
The fare rate for Children is $1.00 for those between 6 and 15 per ride. Children 5 and under ride for free when accompanied by a paying adult.
Disabled Fare*
The fare for ADA qualified riders is $1.00 per ride.
SENIORS OVER 80*
Seniors over 80 years old now ride for FREE
VETERANS*
Veteran fare, of any age, is $1.00 per ride. Thank you for your service!
*You must be able to verify eligibility for this rate.
Veteran Rides to Wellness
Mecosta Osceola Transit Authority
is offering rides for Veterans
through the Rides to Wellness program
at HALF the cost of standard travel rates!
That means -
$7.50 for inner county travels per ride
$22.50 for outer county travels per hour
to any authorized Veteran Affairs medical facility.
